Nonlinear helps users turn scans, invoices, receipts, forms, PDFs, and other office files into reviewable text reports and structured data.

Information we collect

We collect account information such as email address, authentication metadata, subscription status, credit balance, uploaded file metadata, prompts, and job history. When you upload documents, the files and extracted outputs may be processed to provide the service.

We also collect limited product analytics such as file type counts, upload size buckets, requested output formats, coarse browser/operating-system category, and timestamps. We do not use analytics to store raw document text, raw filenames, raw IP addresses, access tokens, or card numbers.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, process uploaded documents, generate requested outputs, maintain billing and points, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Nonlinear does not store card numbers. Stripe may collect payment details, billing information, and fraud-prevention signals under Stripe's own policies.

Third-party services

Nonlinear may use service providers for hosting, storage, authentication, email delivery, payment processing, and AI document extraction. These providers process data only as needed to operate the service.

Document privacy

Uploaded documents can contain sensitive information. Do not upload documents unless you have the right to process them. Files are stored in a private workspace and are intended to be retained for about 30 days, up to the plan storage limit, unless deleted earlier or required longer for security, billing, legal, or operational reasons. Verify important AI-generated outputs before using them for filing, billing, legal, financial, or operational decisions.

Security

Nonlinear uses HTTPS/SSL for transport, private storage, authenticated API routes, bot-abuse checks, and rate limits. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so please avoid uploading documents that you are not authorized to process.

Advertising and cookies

If advertising is enabled, advertising partners such as Google may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, ad personalization controls.
